I use this method for piano lessons to pre-school students. The Dutch lyrics are in the imaginary world of the kindergarten child and therefore fun for them to learn. At first I teach the song auditively and let the student play it all over the keyboard of the piano whilst standing. Often I use finger dolls which are selected and placed on the keys by the student. The student sings and plays at the same time. A lot is repeated over and over again.
After that we write down the songs using rounds on lined paper, as a preparation for the actual note reading.
My First Piano Adventure
I use this method when all the songs of Bijdehandjes are learned, noted and known and the student is not yet in group 3 of school.
